How many wedding favors should I order?

I am getting married in June and I am sending out 150 invitations. How many favor boxes should I buy?

I think you have gotten a lot of good advice, but no one has asked what it is you are giving as a favor, and that does make a difference.

If it something like a bag of candies, etc. I would do one per guest. However, I've been to weddings where the favor was more along the lines of a small "gift" - and in that case in per "party" would be okay - i.e couples would get one.

And I think the best favors are ones that can be used - soap, candy, small picture frame, etc. People just aren't into keeping keepsakes anymore. I think a small bag of elegant candy with a thank you note attached is a great favor.

your total guest count and not total invitations sent should determine the number of favors you buy... if your total guest count is 150, i'd recommend getting 75 favors (half of your total count), as most people will be part of a couple and guys don't care about favors, so you set them on every other place setting... if you're looking to budget, consider getting about 1/3 of your total count and leaving the favors on the guest book table for guests to take home w/ them as they leave... not everyone appreciates favors so just those guests that want one will take one... =]

Will you be placing a favor at each place setting? If so then order the amount of your guest list. If not go with the above advice of ordering 75.

Most weddings that I have attended, there is a favor for each guest invited. So I would go with 150. Congrats on your upcoming wedding!

I suggest getting 80-90. Of course it depends on what you are giving as favors. Have you looked at www.customweddingsolutions.com?

At least 150. You don't want to have more guest then favors.

one per invitation, therefore one per family, don't spend to much time/money on favors alot or people don't take them home and you end up with lots of extra
