About Hydrangeas?

How well do they hold up in the heat? I would like to use them for my wedding centerpieces. My wedding is in August, however the reception will be indoors, and they will be in a vase with water. Does anyone have any experience with these flowers?

Hi Jaye First let me say GOOD LUCK ON YOUR UPCOMING WEDDING AND MARRIAGE. I live in the south and have these flowers in my yard. They hold up very well in the heat and need very little water to live. They are a very pretty flower. So I would say you will be safe to use these. Good Luck to you and God Bess.

They do ok as long as they kept in water. If they start to wilt then trim the stems and put them in fresh water in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

My daughter used them for her wedding in September in Colorado. They looked very nice and did well in the vases. We kept extras and changed out the flowers in the boutonnieres and corsages that had wilted between the picture time and the ceremony.
