I have a years supply for my family including my married children & their families. Our church recommends having a year supply in case of emergency whether job loss or natural diaster.

The same amount of time as if you were working. The rate of mold growth, break down of food is a constant regardless of the working status of the owner. It has been that way for centuries in fact.

My week old pizza in the refrigerator lasts just as long as it did when I was working full-time, regardless of what it tells you.

Not very long since I'd probably eat myself out of house and home because my nerves would be shot.

Hopefully long enough for my ex to have me imprisoned for not paying child support, then I could eat for free!
