"The mind is not for thinking, the mind is for receiving thought". How? Why?

Now that you mention it, it makes sense that the brain of any animal is only used as a tool to help it survive. Just like any other sense, the mind takes in information and uses it to further its survival. Is there thinking involved? Maybe just instinct.

The mind is for receiving thought and for thinking. We could not "think" without first receiving some sort of thought or idea. If a human were to somehow have no contact with anyone or anything from birth even when they were 50 they would not have the true capability of thinking because they have no thoughts to think about. However because this is obviously impossible one must think because we will have inevitably received the thought. Another example, I read this question and thereby "received the thought", I was "thinking" when my mind was interpreting the concept and created a new thought.

That depends if you are a fatalist or an existentialist. Sure awareness comes from within but there are some who think that you can actually do something with that awareness. However, maybe the world should have fewer existentialists. Hmmm.

that mechanism had been designed not by human...Mind would be anything and function as you believe...It still receiving a thoughts ....which is not yours, but sent chaotically by others and that is not their thoughts but received from other others and so on.... that is a price for our ignorance while divided...Everything you perceiving from external world happens in the mind, which means that External simply does not exist...Others too, non existent...all others which you perceive "outwardly" is within your mind only, thus parts of you, which you deny and judge. Well by this we are all judge and deny ourselves, then wondering, why life so unfair...Weird explanation, I know, but never know it would be true...Love another as you Love yourself. May be you are that another?

That's a load of crap and you know it. The mind is for thinking, and the only people who believe the mind is for receiving thought are advertising executives who wish the public would just buy what they tell them to buy without a second thought.

The mind is a sponge.
