Are you a twin? How did this affect your adolescence?

I have an assignment that requires some research on whether having a twin, helps or hinders you when you are growing up, particularly in those sensitive adolescent years when one is forming one's social and cultural identity.

My twin is a guy and I'm a girl, and we're teenagers. When we were younger we were in seperate, single-sex schools, so then we just behaved like brother and sister all the time, not so much exhibiting mystic-twin behaviour (like some people think twins do). Later when we were older and went to the same school, we always walked together and people would think we were a couple until we told them we were twins. Right now I would say that having him around makes sure I always have someone to walk with, have someone to talk to, and most importantly someone to trust. So yeah, I would say that having a twin definitely helps! Hope this answer was informative.
