Question on American Healthcare?

What is Medicaid and Medicare? Is it Social Security based care or is it something else? Please give details?Thnx.

    It is a state provided medical insurance that is for low income people and persons who's employer does not offer benefits, you need to have a child under 18 in order to qualify and of course a low income. Medicare is for elderly people whom have low incomes. It pays for parts of their medical care, but they have supplemental policies to help to cover what Medicare does not. Hope this helps.

    Medicaid is for the low income welfare people. Medicare is for those 65 and older and it does come out of your Social Security every month. Both are for medical only.
