Why is it that people get upset?

When they call a customer service department, especially when they owe and they are late making the payment. What fault is it of the customer service operater.

People get upset because of everything they have to do just to get to you. All a customer wants to do is to call someone, finish their business, and carry on with the rest of their lives.

Instead there will always be a whole bunch of irrelevant announcements or advertisements, followed by a series of menus, then you have to keypad you account number, followed by your name and address and date of birth (because that information for some reason cannot be pulled up by the account number), then you have to listen about 25 minutes of really poor quality music periodically punctuated with "operators are currently assisting other customers ... calls will be answered in the order in which they are received ... the current wait time is 24 minutes..."

After all that is said and done, you'll be lucky to reach the right person. If not, you get transferred about four or five times to different departments eventually to end up with the department that you spoke to in the first place.

Then the person answering the phone will ask you for account number, name, address, and date of birth...

    Well, you get the idea.

Because people today were brought up without the responsibilities that our forefathers had . There used to be a time when you owed money that you had to pay it back . There is nothing that I hate more , than someone who is looking for the easy way out ... Financially , morally or whatever . I feel no pitty . I say too bad , If I can't afford something . I simply don't get it . Or save my money until I have enough to put at least a good down payment on it. Usually by then I figured that I had worked so hard to get to this point that the object doesn't have the same value as before ... Whatever no I'm pissed again .. LOL laters

People get frustrated and maybe some have a medical or mental

    problem.

When you deal with the public you can expect about anything.

Look at bartenders and wait staff..

Nurses get a lot of guff from patients and visitors

Its not nice but someone has to take the verbal abuse.

It could be they did not receive the bill for payment. Or some people are plain rude, just tell them it is not your fault and they are being rude, and if they have any complains, write in to the manager.
