Psychic Abilities?

I have heard that every one has psychic abilities, however most people don't know how to use them. Is there anything you can do to help enable the mind to open up and make use of the sixth sense?

Yes, most people call it a "gut feeling". Trust that gut feeling. Everyone is born with it.

Have you ever noticed how children will instantly bond with some people and want absolutely nothing to do with others? As adults we always scold our children for embarrassing us-- refusing to hug, kiss, or even acknowledge certain people. What most people fail to realize is that children are very tuned-in to their senses and they are very sensitive.

As we get older and busier we lose that sensitivity but we can groom it to come back. Pay attention to the feeling you get the next time you meet someone new. Just mentally record your first honest reaction. Make sure it's based on your feelings and not their outward appearance. The more your mind gets used to paying attention to your body, the more messages you will receive from it.

From what I know most people avoid having psychic powers by being, either consciously or uncounsciously, scared of them. I never had a chance to be cause my first counscious memory is of talking to a spirit but my first husband would have bursts of psychic awareness or badger me with question until I fell into trance to answer them. Then after each experiance he be scared for a few days then pass it off like it was a trick. As Terry Pratchett writes about humans excell at passing off things that ar not of the norm as 'coincidence', 'mistakes', or 'tricks'. Somehow convince yourself that the psychic and spiritual is just another sense like sight or hearing and you'll be on your way.

Yes everyone has latent psychic abilities. The psychic zone in the brain is in the middle of the forehead, above the eyebrows. It is called "The Middle Ear" We used it all the time many hundreds of years ago, because we needed to protect ourselves from unseen dangers. Since most of these dangers don't exist anymore the middle ear has fallen into disuse. If you want to activate this ability I suggest you look on the internet, visit psychic chatrooms, look in the library for books on the subject, There are psychics who train people to become psychics, but beware of charlatans. Good ones are usually recommended, they don't usually advertise. If you're serious good luck if you're f@ck@ng me about I curse you.

I believe that there are many kinds of psychic abilities. Some things, like precognition or clairvoyance, people just have, and come to them naturally. Some people are just naturally more open to whatever it is that causes them to have visions/feelings/precognitions about things. If you are finding that you are already experiencing certain psychic things--like having strong feelings about someone or something; having dreams about the future, etc., I encourage you to read up on it; talk to other people, etc. It is difficult not to be afraid of these types of things, because it seems impossible that you would know these things. For example, one of my first experiences of precognition was that I had a very strange feeling when I was around people who were going to pass away fairly soon...it took a long time to identify the feeling, but I soon realized it meant that they were going to die. Many of my precognitions involve tragic events that are going to happen, though that isn't ALL of them. They are kind of like flashes that just pop into my head or I dream about them. It isn't always pleasant and it's tough not to be afraid of this!!

If you don't really have psychic experiences that you're aware of--that doesn't mean you aren't "psychic." I encourage you to pay attention to your gut feelings about people or things. Try to clear your mind through meditation every once in awhile. Pay attention when you have things happen.

Oh, and FYI-- be careful what you wish for. It takes time to learn how to experience things without being afraid.

To the person who said "psychic abilities aren't real..." Can you explain to me why I know when things are going to happen, please? Come on. Open your mind!

Pick out your favorite crystal mineral such as an amethyst or citrine and place it down on a flat surface.

Without touching it try to "feel IT" . Besides the color and shape what does it tell you? do you feel drawn to it or against it . Cover it with a dark cloth(any dark cloth) for 1/2 hour or stick it in a light tight box for 1/2 hour and then take it out and see if it jumps at you or appear more brilliant than before.

Ask a question to a trusting friend and see if you can read their reactions and what they are thinking, if theyre geniunely helping you or feel obligated.

Then ask this same question to an acquaintence and see what their reaction is.

This will help you to better fine tune your psychic abilities.

if you want to open up you psychic abilities, most people sit in an open circle to tune into there helper (guardian angel) the place to get started is at a local spiritualist church, or you can tune in yourself by meditation just sit quietly in a room if you want soft music that fine, and you may get an impression in your head like a quick flash if you can imagine when you take a photo the image you get within the second of the flash going off this is what you may get you have to try to figure out what have been given to you, you never know you may be a healer do your hands get over heated if they do if someone has a headache put your hands slightly above the head see if there headache goes.

You can try looking at all living things and study their auras. After that get a pack of psychic cards and keep guessing and turning them over. Always meditate in a quiet room to relax your mind, body and soul and then let your mind run freely and see what visions you have and then write it down and see if it happens. That is all for now and good luck.

I am psychic myself, and am learning (still, after 22 years) how to use them. I focus on something to get a reading, or energy, from said object and determine what I get from it.

If you want to develop them, go right ahead. There are two kinds of people in the world I live in. Open Minded people and Limited people. Open minded ones are like you, because you actually asked the question and you're curious. Limited people have closed off their minds to phenomena like this because they were told at an early age to be 'normal' or they learned it from the wrong source.

    Keep looking around.

Yes, there are lots of things that people can do to "enable the mind to open up and make use of the sixth sense." Start by paying attention to "stray thoughts." They are the ones that aren't spawned by previous thoughts. For example: Have you ever noticed that most of your thoughts are reactions to previous thoughts or outside stimilus from the physical senses? When a thought just "appears" in your mind that is not related to a previous thought, or outside stimilus, it IS a "psychic" message to you.

When you can understand that, and experience it, then you are ready to begin your studies of other "psychic areas," which include vision trances (journeys), mental telepathy, etc. You may want to spend a few hours (then years) studying some of the renouned psychics of our day. Edgar Cayce would be a great starting point for more "in depth" information.

    Regards,

    Chris

It isn't a "sixth sense." It is using means to receive information and make decisions beyond what your immediate senses tell you (aka using your hunches/intuition that your brain tells you.)

Read up on personality types, Myers Briggs, the two types NF and NT's. These personalities make decisions based on hunches, gut feelings, or internal analysis that has to gibe with their values.

We all have it, you just have to get "in tune" with it. Try, for example, going house-hunting (don't have to buy, just look). Glance at the house outside, but try to get a "feeling" about it once inside (like the happiness or gloominess factor of the occupants or previous occupants). Sometimes it will immediately hit you -- "I don't like this place.!"

Also, think about people that you know that appear to be friendly but that there is something "not quite right" or "true " about them. That's a hunch that there is something else going on about them that you have concerns about. I like what the person said earlier about "first reaction" about a person and what children do.

    Good luck.
