Superbowl Proposal?

I heard all this buzz about a man who had purchased a spot during the Superbowl to propose to his girlfriend, but never saw it.

Did I miss it? Or did it not happen? I wonder why...

Yeah I heard about it too. He ended up not getting a sponser so the commercial never aired. I heard them talking about it on the radio yesterday. they said you can watch the commercial on the internet though.

He may have purchased an ad to be displayed on the scoreboard. To have purchased network television time, it would have cost him about a million bucks.

He may also have purchased a commercial on his local station that was carrying the game. Then, when they ran their local commercials during the game, they could have aired it. But the rest of the nation would not have seen it. However, even a local commercial would have cost him a ton of money.

I don't think it happened. I looked for it the whole time and I never saw it. I was away from the TV for about 5 minutes, so unless it happened in that time, there was no proposal. I was sad, too, because I really wanted to see it :-(
