Several Toyota's in my family and none has had any issues warranty or otherwise. I don't think a recall is that bad, I'd rather the manufacture acknowledge there is a problem and take care of it, regardless if your vehicle is having an issue or not. GM calls their rattling motors "normal", Chrysler has been putting in their weak tranny in their vehicles for years, can't or won't get it right. I don't know anyone with a "domestic" that is over 8 years old that has a working A/C that hasn't required $1000 fix to keep it going, my mother in law has '93 Camry and A/C never touched and works great. My '87 Nissan still has original A/C, still puts out ice cold!! Next time you see a GM and a Toyota parked side by side compare the gaps around doors and panels from one vehicle to the other. Compare fuel economy of motors of equal displacement and see which gets better MPG overall. My father in law had to replace front bearing in an Olds 88 with 50,000 miles at a cost of $250 Canadian for the part alone, so the "parts are more expensive on Imports" is out the window.

Well, think about it. If you have a problem, you want answers to your problem. If your car is running fine, then you wouldn't be searching for answers.
Thus all the people with problems are coming here looking for answers.

Name a make of car with NO problems......(there aren't any) I have three Toyotas in my family. No problems with ANY of them.
My Tundra has 85000 miles and I 'm still using the original brakes, tuned it once, changed oil every 7,500 mi. (per Toyota maintenance schedule)
