It's an excellent strategy to park your car at the airport hotels and take advantage of cheaper parking rates. Some will actually drive your car to another location for a reduced rate just to get your business.

What you need to do is identify some hotels with good deals such as on Cheaper than Hotels at Gatwick, and before you book just check that the hotel will accept parking arrangements at a reduced rate and make your overall comparisons. Depending on the time of year availability and conditions can change.

You can park on the airport boundary for £36 a week and stay overnight in a Hotel and park for however long you are away for £100. Visit the website - I've been with them at least a dozen times now.

try the hilton gatwick, this sounds like something they would do. In the short stay car park, i was in gatwick for about 3.5 hours and it cost me about £13. In my opinion, get a friend to take you there, and if possible, pick you up.

If this is not an option, get someone to drop your car off as late as possible, they keep a key, and you have spare one.

Again, if not possible, take the train!

if i was you i would not put the car in the airport. they put your car there for a few days then they drive it somewhere else, so check your mile meter. i saw it on some programme
