What do you think is it possible for humans to have supernatural powers...?

My friend was insisting me to watch the movie names "X-Men" and so I did... For me it was just a piece of crap... I dont think that there are anything like mutants in this world... having "Goddy" powers... like someone who can change the weather with her thinking... or someone who can attract the metals towards him... or someone who can penetrate through a wall... What do you think is it possible or not...? Do you think your mind can work wonders...?

You have to remember that it's just a movie-meant only to entertain. When you watch something like that, you have to suspend your disbelief and just enjoy the flick for what it is.

As for your larger question, yes, many people do have abilities that are currently considered "impossible" by the uneducated and closed-minded. But it's not on a theatrical, grand scale such as portrayed in a movie. The ability to foresee events, to communicate with those who have passed and other abilities are quite real and quite verifiable. Currently, the scientific community uses the circular logic that it's impossible, so there's no reason to study it, and there's no reason to study it because it's impossible. Very illogical-much like the "experts" who knew that the earth was flat, or that the sun revolved around the earth.

Fortunately, there are some in the scientific community who have started to take a closer look at such things, with remarkable findings. Before long, it will become mainstream belief, because it will be proven to the point where it can no longer be denied.

The mind is a wonderful thing. Go to a Tibetan Monestry and see how they can overcome a lot of things with their mind. You can rid pain from your life with your mind. You can make all sorts of things happen with your mind. I am not an expert in this field, but there are so many stories of "miracles" happening and people put it down to positive thinking, so I think anything is possible if you have good control of your mind. Whether or not it is possible for people to walk through walls, maybe it could happen if you had control over your mind so you wouldnt feel any pain, and maybe you would have the strength via mind power to actually push through a solid wall. How many times have you heard stories about super human strength......How a woman tore the door of her burning car to save her child trapped inside....it happens, and its something that cannot be explained. I am a woman and I couldnt believe the strength I had when I was confronted with a dangerous situation...I dragged two grown men off a person who I loved who was being attacked...I dont know where my strength came from, but I did it, and at that particular time in my life I think I would have killed them had they continued. There are too many "unexplainable" things, not to at least think something is possible.. As to whether the stuff in X Men is possible, I dont know, probably not, but hey, I have seen things that I thought were previously impossible, so I am not very quick to say that something is impossible now.

ur right, but then again its a movie, they are imaginary chracters, i dont know if its possible to control the whether with ur mind or attract metals towards u or even penetrate thru walls, but then theres another factor here that like we have made so many accomplishments it wont be too long when we will be able to do all these things, thru machines mayb but u can say tats our mind right, good question though.

I've recently read the book Hyperspace by Dr Michio Kaku.. Very interesting. Here are some observations..

According to this book the universe has multi dimensions (10 according to hyperspace theory). Just as a square living in a two dimensional paper cannot visualize or think about a three dimensional world, we human beings may not be able to visualze multi dimensions, though it can be represented mathematically.

After reading that, I just related it with Yoga Vasishta, an ancient Indian Spiritual Text which describes various levels of conciousness and various dimensions of the universe. According to Kaku, the radius of next dimension is much smaller than the planck's constant, so that it is almost impossible to find it.

This resembled me the 'Sukshma loka' (subtle world) in Yoga Vasishta, where the conciousness can enter.

Indian Vedanta and culture is so deep and vast, and the ancient Rishis experimented various possiblities of human conciousness through techniques like meditation, and explored the universe in various ways. Yoga Vasishta even discusses techniques like Time Travel (Akshagamana) - and explains how human conciousness and mind can be fine tuned to attain such realms.

According to Vedanta, the whole nature (observing phenomena) is part of the self (observer), and there is no duality between the two (Advaita). According to Kaku, the String theory describes that the whole matter is nothing much vibration of energy.

Science knows that the base or substratum of matter is energy. Vendanta goes further - it explains the whole matter as vibration in the level of energy (much before Einstien), and continues further, to explain that the substratum or base of whole energy is conciousness (Prajna).

And Vedanta concludes that the Prajna is the divine (Prajnanam Brahma), and all beings are just the manifestation of the same conciousness (Aham Brahmasmi, That-tvam Asi).

And, Vedanta explains that the maximum possibility of Human life is to realize this conciousness- to be one with it. This can be experienced by anyone, by controlling his mind, like various masters at various ages did (Krishna, Buddha, Nabi, Jesus, Guru Gobind etc)

May be science is coming closer to reality.. Who knows. See my site http://amazedsaint-intutions.blogspot.com/ for some observations like this.

I liked that movie, remember it is just a movie nothing else. What if someone like you had powers would mankind be in trouble, you sound angry, and would all ways want your way or hurt anyone who said no to you.So i hope we never find out if can really happen. Smile and have a great day......

Yes, i believe in the power of the almighty God.

    He hasnt failed me yet.

He will never leave me or forsake me.

I believe in the Holy Spirit.

I believe in the POWER OF THE SPOKEN WORD!!!

I also believe in Angels as well- they run errands, like Gods messengers, and he sends them down to keep guard of us.

But theres a bad powers too so be careful with magic (white or black) just stick to miracles.

    God Bless

Watch Ripley's Believe It Or Not.

There are many freaks out there...for example,

there is a man who can magnetically attach knives & anything metal to his body.

i think humans will gain different abilities that will be considered unnatural based on the capabilities of today's human being.

but no, i don't think it will ever be as drastic as an X-men.

And yes, your mind can work wonders if you stop loading it with all that trash on TV and the Internet, and go study.
