Championship Auto Racing Team, (CART). They use turbo power and race street courses rather than all ovals. IRL is normaly aspirated engines and on ovals. These two groups need to get together under one flag, fan interest is diminishing for both with the current situation.

its called a temporary street circuit, the race will "usually" be called a grand prix and no i dont think irl does any yet, but they will, as of ringt now f1 has only 1 street circuit, with another on the way in 2008, cart has a lot

Those are called Road courses. The happen in CART, Formula One and NASCAR. Ovals are mostly in the IRL.

C.A.R.T. is now known as the Champ Car Series. They mostly race on street courses, otherwise known as Grand Prixs. Concrete canyons if you will.
