Do the ads keep you from watching Yahoo! News Video?

They do me. I don't have time to watch a minute or so of a NetFlix ad - I'm already a Netflix subscriber - to watch a minute or so of news. Sorry, Yahoo!, not going there anymore.

yes, unless the story is absulutely fascinating, I don't sit through he ads. The worst part is that it plays the same ad for each video

I experienced this problem too, and I'm pleased to say I've solved it! (No guarantees that it'll work for you.)

The video content is a Windows Media Player file (streamed). Your WMP has a problem and as a result, it aborts playing and you get the next ad.

The answer is to go to Microsoft's site and reinstall WMP again over the top of the one you already have.

You can get Windows Media Player 11 (which I recommend) here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/play...

See, it wasn't Yahoo!'s fault after all. Give 'em another chance!

I hope it helps! Good luck!

It's really no different than when you are watching tv or listening to the radio. Most business's have ads, that is how they sell their product, Yahoo is just using leverage to help them get more members. Remember, Yahoo is free basically. So I don't think I would judge them at all.
