Stroller, Crib, High chair, Playpen , Swing, Diapers. Ask for bigger ticket items to save you money (a lot of times friends will "go in on " a bigger gift) People will buy clothes regardless of what you ask for. I mean have you ever met a woman who doesn't coo over how cute baby clothes are. Bibs, bottles and cloth diapers are good small ticket items that you can never have enough of. A baby first aid kit is a must. Congratulations and good luck

Not high chair, crib, stroller or other large ticket items. You will find that after the baby is born, you have a lot of time to look into these things and really find something you like. When registering, you are locked into the items that they offer at that store. You feel obligated to list it and then if you receive it, you are stuck because rarely do the stores take it back. I found that few months after the baby, I looked around and found the things I REALLY wanted but they were are different stores.

Depends on what you already have purchased and been given. When I had my baby shower in December just gone I let everyone know what I already had (ie: cloth nappies, baby bath, etc) and that I was going to be breast feeding. I received alot of good gifts such as - clothing (naturally), baby recorder book (you know where you put their first spoken words etc), a sterilizer kit and 2 bottles, photo frames, toys, baby powders and ointments, snappies for the coth nappies (instead of using pins), nappy buckets, nappy soaker and laundry podwer, some books for when he is older and so forth.

I would definately put diapers! Lots and lots and lots of diapers. Same with baby food, or maybe giftcards so you can go buy the baby food. Car seat, crib, playpen, onsies, stroller, diaper bags, bibs, whipeys, (or however you spell), ask for everything! You can never have too much!

I think that you should ask for some clothes and diapers because those are the things that are getting more expensive.!
