I would suggest a Canon Powershot. I have a 7.1 Megapixel. Try not to get less than a 5 mega pixel camera. 5 or better is ideal if you want to make enlargements, and since this is for your Honeymoon, I'm sure you'll want to enlarge a few photos. And also this camera has a built in camcorder, and unlike some others, you can record as much video as your memory card can hold!!. It's awesome. And then you can upload the videos from your memory card to your computer easily!!!!!.

Another good option would be a camcorder with a built in camera, but those are only like 1 or 2 megapixels which is like a camera phone, not that good. Sony's DCH-HC96 is a camcoder with a 3 megapixel camera which is okay but it costs $800.

So I'd go with a 5 megapixel Canon Powershot. it is really good quality and should cost around $300 as you'd like. Mine was around $500 but it's a 7.1 megapixel. Anyhoo good luck, have fun and Congratulations!!! =)

You're almost better off buying them separate. Get a digital camera that you can carry around easier. Something small that takes good pics.

Get a decent video recorder as a separate device. Most of them take pics too, but are too bulky for everyday use. Shop around, better yet, talk to a few family members about maybe chipping in and making it an early wedding gift. Let em know what model you're looking at. If you say you want to film your vacation, some are bound to go along with it. Everyone wants to give a gift that they know will really be needed/appreciated besides the normal wedding things. They can either give it to you up front or make sure to tell you what gift to open before you take off on the honeymoon.

I'd hate to tell you, but the video on most cameras SUCK! Although they're getting better, you would do better to get a video camera that takes photos. Try Canon. You can buy through Dell so that you can use the financing if the price goes over a little.
