How to catch a ferrel cat with a cage from animal shelter???
This teenage cat has been hanging around our house for 6 or 7 months now. We thought it was a boy until the other day. Well, we caught it, (excuse me, her), in action the other day. We're willing to pay to have it fixed but she's too smart for the cage trap. We did catch a opposum though. What can we do to get her to go inside? We've been working on this for 2 days now. !!!!!Your help will prevent a litter of unwanted kittens!!!!!!!!!Thanks sooooo much.

KFC chicken, the people at this stie http://thecatsite.com/ swear by it. you can find ways to catch cats there. Some spend there time doing catch and release for fixing strays. They are devoted cat lovers like many here, a great site.
Plcae the cage where the cat goes alot, cover with branches or something to hind it. check every few hours on the trap.

put a can of tuna inside the cage, that might help.
or see if animal control would catch it for you but still let you keep it.
