My roomates husband has dual citizenship but lives in UK. and she in US. if he should pass does she get his VA

He had dual citizenship and still gets his va sent to an acct. that he can access in the UK.. Although she refused to give him a divorce (for his va mind you)he has remarired in his own country.. And recieves the allottments but is worried that he has passed away and his new wife is getting the allottments and not her. Is she eligable for them or is it null and void considering hes a UK citizen? (jerry springer or what?

Citizenship is not relevant to VA survivor benefits, but marital status is. Normally the current spouse is the beneficiary; if she can prove she is still his legal spouse, your room mate might be eligible. Here is more information:

If he passed away he should be left to rest in peace!

Tell her to stop being greedy!

    All the best!/
