What is the reason that the U.S. has been involved in more armed conflicts than most countries?

I can't think of any other country in the world (except maybe England) that has had more wars/conflicts than the U.S.

We are the sole super power in the world. With every conflict, countries turn to us for help, and America always helps our allies to protect our interests.

The Freedom for all may be the realization of good goal. The guaranteed of Liberty, Religion and Speech is fundamental to keep very strengh international relations and of course the preservation of our national and strategic interest around the world. I see the Usa how the Big Brother but not how the Big bully.

US gets all the publicity for trying to help other countries, but much of the UN is involved in these peacekeeping missions. France is also well known for trying to help as is Russia. The interesting part is US, UK, Russia, and France are the 4 largest weapons producers and exporters. So just because the US is more successfull you shouldn't think we're the only one playing the game.

Very often other countries ask for US help. An example that jumps to mind is the conflict between Ethiopia and Eritrea, both sides were begging the US to intervene. Of course when the USA did, neither patry was happy with the results and blamed the USA for making the wrong decision. Typical!

We're the world super power and many other unstable and poor countries come to us for help. We've been too worried about the rest of the world than about our own country. Nothing against helping others but we also need to worry about our country. I've been thinking that after World War II, we haven't had not even a decade to worry about our country and there's always something to do. True, we're the super power but isn't it fair to also worry about Americans too? It's a shame that we have Iraq now but there's not much to do except wish that our troops do their job and come home quickly.

Because we are a free nation and there are lots who want to take it from us.

We're proactive in our defense strategy. Better on their soil than ours.
