I m looking to buy a point-and-shoot digital camera, and want the one with the best picture quality.

The research I ve done so far has one s costing $800-$1000. I m not really willing to spend that much on one, more like around $300-$350.

I would get a DSLR, but don t feel like carrying that around, as it gets heavy/bulky. I want something compact in size, and a good zoom would be nice too - but picture quality is more important than zoom.

I have a 2012 Ford Focus, and while the horn works, and sounds (as it normally does), when I press it, it also makes a weird clicking/rattling noise (also kinda like a jingle sound - hard to describe).

It sounds as if it's coming from behind the center console/under the center console, but it's hard to tell.

Any ideas what it could be?

My house has two thermostats, one downstairs, one upstairs.

The one downstairs works, turns on controls the heat and A/C unit.

The one upstairs does not turn on, even when I replace the batteries. I only have one furnace and one A/C unit. But the thermostat downstairs has a lightswitch next to it, which I cannot figure out what it does at all. I know it doesn't control a light or an outlet.

I know it's virtually impossible to figure out what the upstairs thermostat does (or the point of it), but any ideas? Any thing I can test to figure it out?

For my work laptop (with a docking station) I want to use dual external monitors (not using the one on my laptop). The piece I'm looking for would essentially allow me to plug two VGA cords into this peice, which would connect to the docking station, and allow me to use both monitors by Extending the display.

I know my video card can handle this, as I can use 1 external monitor and my laptop screen. I looked on Amazon (preferred site), but couldn't find anything that would definitely work.

I have a 55 gallon tank, with 7 danios, and 2 guppies. Earlier today I added 2 of the danios, and 2 guppies.

My water now smells really bad, and all the fish are hanging out around the top. I tested my water, and I have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and very low nitrate (undetectable). Before I added the 4 fish today, I did put in some API Quick Start, to help compensate for the extra fish.

Any ideas on what is causing the smell/hanging out on the top?

Right now I have a ~55 gallon fish tank, and I have 6 zebra danios in them. Prior to adding these fish, I just some "bactercia in a bottle" (API brand), and also took a filter cartridge out of another (smaller) tank I have and placed it in this tank (it's in the filter, with the regular filter cartridge).

Today I did a water change of ~10 gallons, but want to know if I should be doing anything else, or if I'll be alright.

I can't use gravel from the other tank, because the big tank has sand substrate.

I'm a first time home buyer, who recently found a property to purchase, and I am pre-approved for a mortgage, but am still nervous about actually getting 100% approved.

I was pre-approved for about $230,000, I'm purchasing a townhouse for $214,000, with 10% down, so I'm asking for ~$194,000.

I don't remember my exact Fico scores, but I the middle score is 780.

My only debt is my student loans, which I owe roughly $9,000 on, with a monthly payment of $275, but that is paid-up through December 2016, meaning I don't *have* to make payments until then, since I am far enough ahead. I only have one credit card, which gets paid off in full each month, with a high limit on it, but the highest I get on the card in a month is around $300. I've had this card for about 8 years, and have not applied or closed an account in several years. I did have a car loan last year, which I paid off in full.

Yearly income is ~$60,400 right now, before any overtime or bonus.

After my down payment I will have ~$25,000 in stocks, and about $5,000 - $10,000 in cash, in the bank.. I also have about $4,000 in a 401k.

Taxes are $4,700, HOA fees are $226 a month, which is a little less than what the pre-approval amount is based on.

If I'm missing anything, let me know.

I bought ConocoPhillips very close to the record date to get the spin off of Phillips 66 (which took place today). I do not believe I will get the shares in PSX, but my shares of ConocoPhillips are now trading much lower than what I bought them for.

Does anyone know if I get a cash payment to make up for the fact that I didn't get the PSX shares, as I feel that their is no way I would get screwed?

If on a check for repayment of a student loan I indicate that the amount (over the monthly payment) should be applied to the principal of the loan, and I also indicate which loan to apply it too, does the lender (in this case, the US Government) have to follow what is written? I know this works for mortgage payments, as long as you indicate to apply it toward the principal.

In other words, I have two types of loans, one has a higher interest rate, and higher principal, if I send in two separate checks, one for the monthly payment, and the other indicating to apply toward the one's principal, does the lender have to apply it toward the principal or not?

Over the summer I signed up with a temp agency (Accountemps), and did one assignment with them for a 2 weeks. I recently found a full time job on my own, how do I tell the temp agency I am no longer interested in their services? I'm not sure if I want to tell them I found a job, as the may feel they are owed a 'buy-out fee' even though they didn't find the job for me?

Should I tell the temp agency I found a job, or just ignore them when they call?

I just got offered a job, and they said they are doing a background check on me. I've never been convicted of a crime, or charged or anything (clean record, and I also have good credit).

They asked for 5 years of employment from me for 'address verification,' which I gave to them.

However, I did not include a temporary job that I had for about 2 weeks this past summer. Is this anything to be concerned about? I did not include it because it was for a 2 week time period.

Would this show up on the background check at all?

Also, I already accepted the position.

Can you get a ticket if another driver reports you to the police, but the cops didn't see anything happen?

What happened was I was driving, I moved over to the left lane and a car in the left lane honked at me (even though she was about 150 back), I then stuck out my middle finger out the window and held it there. I saw her write down my plate number, and car description, etc. (I also got hers).

If she calls the cops and gives this to them, can the cops do anything about it? Even though they wouldn't have seen the act (if I did anything illegal)?

I'm thinking about getting new car speakers...I have a 2000 Honda Civic (4-door), however I only want to replace the back ones because sometimes there is a buzzing noise coming from them. (The front ones are fine).

Does anyone know if it's alright to replace just the 2 back ones and leave the front two, or is it better to replace all 4?

And if I need to replace all 4, would I have to take the door panel off to replace the front ones?

I was in an car accident a few days ago, which was not my fault, and I told my insurance company that I was not hurt, because at the time I had no pain at all. If you work part time for a store, and you work over 40 hours a week (and get paid overtime), are they allowed to fire you?
