Thinking about New Car Speakers?

I'm thinking about getting new car speakers...I have a 2000 Honda Civic (4-door), however I only want to replace the back ones because sometimes there is a buzzing noise coming from them. (The front ones are fine).

Does anyone know if it's alright to replace just the 2 back ones and leave the front two, or is it better to replace all 4?

And if I need to replace all 4, would I have to take the door panel off to replace the front ones?

It's perfectly fine to replace the back set of speakers (likely 6x9's) and leave your front set. The front set can be difficult to replace because in most cases you'll have to remove the door panel to get to the speaker to disconnect/replace it. So yeah, just replace the back set!

No reason why you can't just replace the 6 x 9's in the back.

Yes, if you want to replace the 6 1/2's in the front - you'll have to remove the door panel to access them. (Not too difficult if you have a door panel removal tool.)

If you do decide to only replace the back speakers, which is fine, make sure you keep your receipt because the buzzing sound may not be your speakers. It could be due to a wiring problem or something of that nature.
