looking for opinions... would you re-spay?
I have a dog who had a non-ovarian hysterectomy, she still goes through hormone cycles, and in the year since her non traditional spay, her behavior has changed, she is more fearful and protective, but certainly not a bad dog. she cant get pregnant, but she is still chemically female, so she gets moody, humps my other dog from time to time and attracts males when she is giving off pheromones.
i have no intention of re-spaying her for the sake of cancer prevention but would you????

I'd first get a hold of the Veterinarian who spayed her and consult with him /her. Find out exactly what was done, and why this would be happening at all. The Vet might have made the wrong decision during surgery (though never willing to admit the mistake), and may be willing to handle the issue for nothing.
Then, based on that conversation with the Vet, it is really a choice you need to make based on your lifestyle. If her moodiness doesn't affect anything, then leave her alone. If you think she'd benefit from having her temperment leveled out then yes, I would have her spayed.
