I'm not really qualified to answer that, seeing as I'm not a scientist, or even close; however, I would go with anything starting at 3 billion years and beyond - probably 23 billion years. That range sounds good to me. Infinity is an interesting notion though. How could we really ever prove or disprove that Earth has existed for forever? Oh well, I only get to exist for 80-100 years (hopefully) so however many billions of years that came before me, and will come after me, are actually quite irrelevant in my estimation.

4.5 billion years is the age that most geologists accept.
