WAshing machine not draining.?
My washing machine quit working, I think due to being overloaded. After removing all of the clothing the cycles are off and the darn thing will not drain. Anyone have any clues??

It sounds like you need to get a new pump.
If its a top loader washer use your garden hose to siphon the water out.

Try running the washer with no clothes in it and see if the washer goes throught the cycles, if still doesn't drain the water then you need to replace the pump. Price for pump about $50, to install in about another $50-$100 or more. If it doesn't spin, then that is another problem. Try the first and let me know.

Find a parts repair place in the phone book. Call them and explain the same thing. They'll usually diagnose over the phone for free. A new pump is about $60, most eco models, if that's it. Wouldn't have broken from over loading though. There is a $3 coupler that breaks from over loading, then you get no spin. 45 minute layman repair.
