Ever ponder the mind set of the person who made up road signs?

Example: pass with care (but where is he/she,)no passing (how do you get by), watch for ice on bridge (who do you call if you see ice .....the ice police), road work ahead ( first of all I have yet to see a road working and second ahead of what or who), stop ahead (stop ahead of who?), and my all time favorite cross traffic does not stop ( so if you are mad do you drive on through and hope someone comming the otherway is happy today?) Any way just a thought.

My favorite is a caution sign in Austrailia that reads Falling Rocks then just beneath it a smaller sign reads Do Not Stop.

My friend just sent me an e-mail with funny road signs and one said, "Enter (whatever the name of the town was) Drive careful. We have 2 cemeteries and 0 hospitals.

In Massachusetts, they have my favorite sign:PLOWS USE CAUTION. Is this a warning to drive with caution, because plows are on the road,or an instruction to the plow drivers?Perhaps it's a description; i.e. plows use caution, why don't you?
