When I sell on eBay I do that alot. Its to attract attention and for the buyer to catch their auction than other auctions posted. It also is an eyecandy. It lures them in because the seller is really excited on selling and usually will sell at a low price; however having shipping very very high; note: shipping is not posted when searching through auctions, only price that is why they put that; to get more people to look at their auction and their auction price; but to be ripped off by shipping when they buy. (once they buy, they cannot back out). I have learned this throughout my buying and selling on eBay.

They do it to draw attention to their listing, but the title space could be better used to describe the item in more detail. Frankly I find it kind of annoying. If I want to look at an item, it's because of the actual description, not because the seller tells me to L@@K (are the @'s supposed to be eyeballs or something?? - dumb).
