Using a Car from Jersey in UK?

My dad is visiting me next month & bringing his car with him, He lives in Jersey which is where the car was bought & is registered. He is unsure however as to whether he can use his car during his stay with us, & if not what can he do to be able to use it, as he needs it to drive from the port to where I live.

Any advice or links to websites would be great.

Love Claire xx.

Yes, He may use his Jersey registered car on the mainland, I would check if his insurance covers this is some policies are only valid on the island. It is also a good idea to call the dvs in Jersey - They are on the web. however this just covers the basics - so best to phone them for advice.

    - Hope he enjoys his holiday!

He'll be fine. He doesn't need to do a thing - his vehicle is totally street legal on the mainland. But he'll be able to drive it a bit faster.

    Yes he may.

We will know it is him as it will have a funny number plate and a 'J' on it.

He will have more rights and opportunities on the mainland than we have there.

    Is he a gun runner?
