Sick men vs. sick women?

He probably thinks/knows he can handle it, but he doesn't want to see you in agony because he cares about you.

I don't think that's true in all families. I don't go to the doctor, but my husband will go every time he has a runny nose or a tummy ache. The ironic thing is, I treat whatever's wrong with me with herbal remedies...and my husband and I will get sick on the same day, then he goes to the doctor and I take my herbal remedies, and I get better days before he does...but he won't ever try any of my "witch-doctor stuff" as he calls it.

There is a good answer...MISANDRY.

One has only to look at all of the information on women's health compared to that of men. Examples, look at the dozens of products that raise money for breast cancer research. Yoplaint, M&M's and dozens more. General Mills has the Red Dress to raise money for women's heart disease and they have special cereal formulas for women but look at the iron content in most...

Do you realize that too much iron can cause heart attacks in men? Still, there are few if any low iron formulas for anything.

Remember being told that women were neglected in health care research? Guess what...it is and always was a myth based upon radical feminist twisting thing. Although these numbers are not the right ones it gives the way they have done this.

They pointed out that ONLY 15% of all health care research went to female specific diseases. They then lead you to believe the other 85% went for male specific diseases...they did NOT tell you that 5% went for this while the other 80% went to gender NEUTAL disease research.

Guess what else they did not tell you? That the National Institute of Health has retracted the statement that women were neglected.

One last thing. I am not sure about your family, but I have limited funds in mine. There are so many dollars to go around and many of the men do not go to the doctors to save the money to spend on their wife and kids.

Too many husbands face a dilemma for which he can not win. If he does not bring in enough money, he is a lazy bum but if he works overtime or long hours, he is neglecting his family.

Again the bottom line is Misandry....our society places a high value on females but little if any value on males!

Who knows. Another difference is tolerance! My husband and most men I know act as though they are DYING when they have a cold. On the other hand, I had a MRSA infection and bronchitis and still dragged my happy butt to work everyday without complaint! Most women I know are similar in that regard. What is up with that???

Thats not always the way it is! Why? Some men are old fashioned, some men are more with it - like some women are doctors.& maybe it's because of their upbringing.

No use making us like nurses for them when they can easily go to the docs & get medication!

This is really no reason to go to the doctor, get some more rest, drink liquids, chicken soup it and stay away from others. You should be well in no time. Remember,rest,rest and more rest after chicken soup, stay in bed, take a sick day.

It could be cultural, maybe slightly biological/gender specific. But culturally, in general, men feel they have to be protectors and providers and in general women are slightly more comfortable with the idea of being looked after and more easily admit they are sick and sometimes are more in touch with how they are feeling, emotionally and physically.

In my own journey, women do no longer scrape their asses out of shallow graves and walk miles to get scientific help after the conserfative henchmen gun down a pair extra "Liberals". they do no longer get up with distinctive bullet wounds 20 miles into the woods in Maine and bypass start up the kick start up English bike and experience back to "civilization" for help the two ~ after being gunned a number of situations with the help of d opers the two (even while the three women there have been in simple terms shot as quickly as ~ one in all the two adult men did until now getting shot 3 extra situations with the help of the thugs who had accompanied him to his abode the place they gunned down his relatives too). in actuality, i could danger the wager that for some styles of trauma the addiction to adrenaline adult men are so prepared on helps; the place in different illnesses it makes issues plenty worse.
