When writing a resignation letter do I put the last day of work or the following day as the effective date?

    You would normally write "resigning as of the end of the workday on March 15 2007" if that was going to be the last day you were expecting to be there and get paid.

    While it is customary to give 2 weeks, when employers take advantage of you and treat you like crap, sometimes it's necessary to just get the hell out of there and tell them to kiss your bootay.

    I believe it is common courtesy to give your employer

    two weeks notice.
