What really works to help thicken your hair?

I am 33 yr old female with children and my hair is 'SO' thin. My hair was so thick till I was 16 and I had to have it thinned it was so thick. Kids started coming along with ongoing major stressers that continue thru today. My last child was 5 years ago and I am still loosing hair. It seems to be coming out by the folicle. It is not breakage. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

BIOTIN!! It is a natural vitamin-like health supplement. It is sold in any vitamin store. It works very well. you have to give it a couple of weeks. At the very minimum it will stop or significantly slow the hair loss that you are experiencing. Also use a shampoo that is meant for such a problem or that moisturizes the scalp. Buy it at a salon...it will work better. Also use a volumizing mousse but make sure the mouse doesn't touch your scalp. Also flip your hair to put the product in.

Just check with your doc to make sure the problem is not bigger. Sometimes this is a sign of a thyroid issue.

Also, try to stay away from washing your hair every day...do it every other day-every 2 days depending on what you feel you need. Any stay away from blow drying...it is bad for the scalp. If you have to do it...don't allow the blow dryer to be set too hot or to blow directly on the scalp. As a styling tip, for volume, if you must blow dry...flip your hear over and dry it that way...staying away from direct scalp contact. This is good for volumizing and is safer for the hair. GOOD LUCK!

I might suggest taking a prenatal vitamin. They are packed with nutrients and are good for you weather you are pregnant or not.

The thing about the prenatal is that any nutrients your body does not absorb and use will be discarded threw your hair and nails which will lead the more hair growth. You may not stop loosing hair but it will replace itself much quicker.

Sometimes when we use an outside source to get what we need the body can stop performing a particular task on it's own because the job is being done for it. If you took the vitamin's while you where pregnant it would explain hair loss once you stopped.

Often the brain will see a need and begin the task again but sometimes it doesn't get the message.

    Hope I helped a bit.

Oh and Jello, also very good for strengthening the hair and nails you already have.
