If you had a 6' round earth what would be a good oxymoron or controversial addition to the piece to get people talking about it and give them thought about what we are doing to our environment or to encourage green living? Any responses welcome!

I'm a renter in MI and I broke my lease 2 months early. I gave 6 weeks notice and once we moved out she had 2 weeks with paid rent to fix up the house. We had some damages and she is claiming I owe her more than my deposit for them. For example:

In the dining and living room she had 6' vertical shades that would open and close. Three of the vertical shades broke and normally you can buy replacement shades for $10 but her style was discontinued and I bought 2 new shades for $75. She is now trying to charge me $45 for installing them. In the hall closet their was a small dent and I filled it in and stained it. It was in the lower left corner and not noticeable in passing but in her words "Patch lower left side not acceptable for re-sale of home" and is billing me $50 for a new door and another $45 for her time to install and stain it.

Is this right? I spent almost $2,000 trying to make everything perfect and I feel like she is taking advantage of it.

I rented a 4 bedroom house with my 4 kids 3 years ago. It's in a so so neighborhood and i had 3 break in's/theft and my son was beaten a year ago resulting in 3 police reports and an ER visit. I wasn't able to afford to move earlier and in Jan I found another home in a safer area.

During the time we lived their my 2 teens and their friends were hard on the walls and doors (which was 1/2 drywall and cheap hollow luan doors). I notified the landlord I was moving on 1/22/09 and moved the weekend on 2/15/09. I spent 2 weeks repairing the house replacing most of the doors, I hired a contractor to fill the holes in the walls, shampooed carpet, left the house empty and clean. My lease was up on May 15th. I paid rent to 3/15 and she rerented the house on 3/27. had a $920 security deposit. When I moved in everything was in good condition however it was 5-10yrs old then. I spent roughly $2,000 on door knobs, doors, stain, etc. (I have receipts) She is charging me $75.00 for replacement 12" sticky floor tiles that were .39 each and $120 for her labor because 10 were damaged/scuffed and she couldn't find the same design to repair just the damaged tiles. She charged a total of $367 for her labor which included the above, filling nail holes in molding, applying sealer to the doors (I had stained them 3x and it was a 1 step stain). Obviously I can't put the whole list on here but I replaced everything brand new. I did all the prep work so she could just go in and paint. I bent over backwards and took a 401k loan and I still get a $300 bill and no deposit. Is this legal?

My daughters fiancee may be deported from the US back to sierra leone. My daughter want to follow if that's the case. He's 20 and she is 18. Could they go into Sierra Leone and move to a different region within Africa. How hard is that to do? Michigan Mom

Live in Michigan, Dad is 72 with just social security income and my mother (59) is on disability. Both SS and disability incomes are about $18,000 yr. My dad worked for me on and off throughout the yr cleaning and doing maintenance. I will be giving him a 1099 statement for $13,000. They also own their own home. How much taxes do you think he will have to pay?

He opened both remotes genie 912 and messed up the settings. How do I reconfigure back to the right setting? Help!!!

I am 33 yr old female with children and my hair is 'SO' thin. My hair was so thick till I was 16 and I had to have it thinned it was so thick. Kids started coming along with ongoing major stressers that continue thru today. My last child was 5 years ago and I am still loosing hair. It seems to be coming out by the folicle. It is not breakage. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
