My Emperor Scorpion?
this is my first scorpion and most likely my last. i love him to death, but i have had the hardest time with him. he eaten only one cricket in months. his temperature is fine, cage clean, and no signs of external injuries or paratistes. his coloring is dull. so i keep thinking that he's fixing to molt, but i don't think that's it. i read a book on scorpions, but it was no help at all. so if someon could maybe give some advice on their experience with them. what i may be doing wrong. he is in a dark, warm, humid place, but he's in my living room. could he be too sensitive to the noise? i read and heard they are real sensitive. so any advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you. no evil replies.
i've had him since mid-september. my husband brought him home one day from a customer who said her found him under his pool. which is strange if you ask me. i'm guessing someon decided to let him go when they didn't want him anymore. he's seemed fine up until december. i have two tarantulas and know that arachnids can fast. my brazilian does four months before her yearly molt. he just doens't look normal. he is doing alot of soaking so i am hoping that he is fixing to molt. thank you so much for your answer.

I wouldn't be too worried. Arachnids tend to fast, and they survive a LONG time without food (my spider once went 6 months without eating). It would help if you moved it to a quieter place, and just drop a cricket near the scorpion, and leave. Maybe she's not used to you. Sometimes they grab them overnight, especially if they feel exposed in light. Just be patient and don't worry too much. However, some scorpios just don't like captivity and will starve until they waste away. (Sad but true).

The Emperor Scorpion is definitely one in all the main docile and particularly dealt with of each and all the scorpions stored in captivity. Its super length and robust claws have of course instilled in it much less of a pick for “combat or flight”. it is cupped interior the palm of a your hand without mishap. If “tailed” they are going to frequently rear lower back and consider out to pinch. Their pinch is extremely sturdy and can be particularly painful. Their sting is gentle and that they are in many situations unwilling to sting till they're pinned or grabbed carelessly.
