I need a good, safe cleaner that i can wipe my rats cage down with?

i have a large, two level rat cage that houses 5 female rats. their platforms are the hard plastic. i need something that i can wipe and disinfect everyday because they defacate on it and i don't want them walking around in that kind of stuff. i've used unscented baby wipes but it doesn't take the smell away. i've even used a wet wash cloth. does anyone have any great suggestions? my rats refuse to use a litter pan. they just sleep in it. crazy rats....

I use a mixture of half white vinegar and half water in a spray bottle when I clean my guinea pigs' cage. It disinfects and removes odor, and is not harmful to them either. Try it!

We use 1 part bleach to 10 parts water. I paper towel dry the platforms just in case they were to get up there to soon.

i dont know how safe it would be arround rats, but that clorox anywhere spray is what i use arround my rabbit. i just make sure its dry before i put him back into his cage (and on the commercial it was used arround a baby and in the fridge)

try lemon juice and baking soda or a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and water.

try simple green. you can find it in most hardware stores and it is non-toxic.
