I think that you mistyped the question (no equals sign in the first equation.) I hope that I have guessed the equation correctly; if not, let me know the correct equations & I'll redo it.
6x-90=3y
x-3y=50
This is most easily solved by substitution.
x-(6x-90)=50 - Plug the first equation in for the 3y value in the second equation.
Now, simplify & solve for x.
x-(6x-90)=50
-5x -90 = 50
-5x -90 +90 = 50 +90
-5x = 140
-5x / -5 = 140 / -5
x = -28 - Plug this value into either of the original equations & solve for y.
x-3y=50
(-28) - 3y = 50
(-28) - 3y + 28 = 50 + 28
-3y = 78
-3y / -3 = 78 / -3
y = -26

Based on the new equations...
6x=90+3y
If you move the 90 to the other side of the equation, you get:
6x - 90 = 90 + 3y - 90
6x - 90 = 3y which is the same as my presumed equation, os my solution should work for you.

use substitution:
x=50-3y
Insert new equation for x into the first equation
6(50-3y)-90+3y=0
300-18y-90+3y=0
210-15y=0
-15y=-210
y=14
Back to the second equation:
x-3(14)=50
x-42=50
x=92
Solution is:
x=92, y=14

you have to use substituition:
x=3y+50
6(3y+50)-90+3y
18y+300-90+3y
21y+210
21y=-210
y=-10
then you have to plug y into x=3y+50
x=3(-10)+50
x=-30+50
x=20
so y=-10, x=20

Hi, you left out an equal sign in the first one; can you retype it and re-submit? Then someone will help you.
