Chills during pregancy?

I was wondering if any other women have had this-- Last week I was getting out of the shower (hair was dry, and bathroom did not feel that cold) and as I reached for my towel I started shivering HARD, so hard it made me feel like I was going to vomit. I hurried and got dressed and went to the couch and shuddered uncontrollably for another few minutes until finally I warmed up. My belly felt so sore the next day from the shaking. This happened once with my last pregnancy, only it woke me up in the middle of the night, and it wasn't quite as bad. I have a dr appointment next wk, and will be asking dr about it. Anyone have this too?

    yes, it makes sense.

Your core during pregnancy is extremely warm because your body is working hard to grow a baby.

The slightest cold can make you freezing.

I had the same issue during pregnancy especially in the middle of the night. I would wake up and shiver and needed my husband to keep me warm.

I thought that i was the only one. I am almost 26 weeks pregnant and it seems like i am cold all the time. When i wake up in the morning, i am always freezing cold. I live in South Carolina and it has been @least 70 degrees outside for the last three weeks or more, but i am always cold. I would be lying if i told you that i knew why, but i am going through this too.

No, but invest in a home pregnancy test, because if you don't it will not be cool to bring another child, if you did in the first place into this world without doing the right thing. My step-daughter is pregnant again, and she is only 19. Know before you go to the doctor. I am only saying this because, you don't seem to realize that it doesn't end at the age of 18. It continues, I am a statistic. No proud, but willing to accept what I have done. I still have to call. BEWARE AND BE PREPARED! Think about what you are doing is all I am saying. I am passing no judgment, as I don't know you from ADAM, but still, you must think, before you act. Situations likhis are life altering and don't stop

Yup, my husband forced me to go to the Labor and delivery cause he got scared. I woke up to go to the bathroom and was shaking so bad while sitn on the old thinking tank, I wanted to puke so bad. Happened again when i got to bed, my hubby tried to warm me up cause i got SO cold, but he said i was hot.

I had a lot of Urinary Tract Infections through that time though

this has happened to me a few times during my pregnancy. it happened while i was sleeping. i would wake up and be shaking to the point where i thought i was going to pass out or have a panic attack. it was really weird. i know u lose body heat as u sleep but it was just un real. not sure what causes it.

Nope... I've never even heard of that happening. If it happened once in your last pregnancy and all was okay, then you should be fine this one as well. Definitely ask your doctor about it though. Good luck and congrats! God bless!

This happened to my mom when she was pregnant with me and her doc told her she had a slight fever due to a brief infection in a milk gland. I'm sure this isn't the case foreveryone, but that's what happened to her. I haven't had chills yet, but anything's possible due to all the changes in your body.
