Tomorrow, I am going to a job fair. Should I attach a cover letter to my resume? or will my meeting with the person be enough?

No. At a job fair, you do not need a cover letter for your resume. Remember what the purpose of the cover letter is.

If you are submitting a resume to a specific employer, you should tailor the resume for the specific position that you are applying for. This allows you to use certain key words that are in line with the job description. In this situation, the purpose of the cover letter is to provide a narrative, or to provide information that would not fit well within the resume format.

When going to a job fair, you will be using a “generic” resume. You will have the opportunity to speak to individuals at the booths of potential employers and verbally disclose the things that you might have in a cover letter.

No, you dont need a cover letter for a job fair. It would be especially hard to do, since cover letters are directed specifically at the employer and a job fair generally has a few different employers. Maybe bring a general one just in case someone asks for it, but I doubt they will.

I don't see why not. I have organized job fairs before, so I would say go ahead. It would be an advantage. Just don't brag and keep it short. Short punchy sentences which summarizes what you have to offer would be good.

    Good luck and God bless!
