Why are all of you so damed worred so mush about spelling ,comma ?

Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization is generally taught from early grade school through high school. By the time you start college you should be well grounded in all the basics of the written language. It certainly makes your questions and answers easier to understand if you use some of the basics. I generally don't even try to decipher some of the unpunctuated, uncapitalized, and misspelled entrys.

Good communication - where all the people communicating understand each other - depends on proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. If we allow sloppiness to take over these three fundamental things, then some people won't be able to understand other people, and communication breaks down. I'm happy that you've decided to go back to school to learn these skills; good for you! As a teacher, I know how difficult it is for some kids to learn these skills in their regular school years in the time the teachers give you. Sometimes even remedial reading classes (if available) don't help much, because at the time the kid isn't ready - his/her brain isn't completely wired up yet in those areas needed for learning these skills. But often, when the child reaches adolescence and adulthood, that wiring does complete itself, and the person can learn - but then they aren't teaching those basic skills any more at that level. So hang in there, you can do it, and you'll be not only very proud of yourself, but also able to get better jobs and have more opportunities.

To answer your question, spelling, punctuation, and grammar are important because written language is standardized. When you read something you don't have the person there to evaluate inflection, body language, context, etc. All you have is what the person wrote. If what they wrote is unclear or even unintelligible, then you'll never understand what he's trying to say.

For informal communication such as Yahoo! Answers, it's all a matter of degree. You only have to spell and use grammar well enough to be understood.

For more formal communication, however, you simply can't be effective with bad spelling and grammar. You'll appear unintelligent (which may not be fair). More importantly you'll distract the reader. They'll spend all their time trying to decipher your writing instead of listening to what you have to say.

hmm i know i dont spell for beans these days.hard to believe i was pretty good at spelling. heck i even did spelling bees.

im just trying to exercise my mind here, ive wasted to much time over the yrs not using it.

I am pretty darned worried about the college you're attending if this is the best they've got to show for their efforts to date. Maybe you should try 3rd grade and work your way up from there?

I am wondering how you even got out of high school ... or grade school for that matter.
