Why do women get bent out of shape if you leave the toilet seat up?

The thing is, as trifling as it may be, it's disrespectful. It says you can't take the effort to make things a little easier for her or that you don't acknowledge that she has needs, too. People say it's the litttle things that count, and it's true. It takes half a second, so just do it if you want her to stop nagging. It's not a big deal on your end or hers, but, it's nice to let her know you think about her, too.

I think that the lid should be put down everytime someone uses the toilet. Imagine germs spraying all over toothbrushes, the sink, and any other personal items left out. Girls should put the lid down, guys should put the lid down. There, now we all have to do the same amount of work.

Well if women sit on the seat and the seat is up, they plop in the toilet and it scares them. It takes while to pull the clothes down to go to the bathroom so putting the seat down takes some time.

Women sit down when they go to the toilet, and we don't want to fall in. Leaving the seat up is not a comfortable thing to find out about at 3am.

ok, the following is food for concept: even as the seat is left up by technique of absolutely everyone and the bathroom flushed contained in the open position, all that waste aerosols into the air spreading that marvelous mess onto your hand towels, tooth brushes, hair brushes, ect. so that you wash your fingers and dry them on a towel that has only been contaminated with what you washed off of your fingers. reliable sufficient reason to close the bathroom thoroughly? Satisfies all in my living house, adult males and females individuals. "Seats down" (pun meant:, fingers down)

Obviously you've never woke up to go the bathroom in the middle of the night, half asleep, pull ur pants down to potty and your butt hits thats COLD toilet water

Not all women behave like this - some behave like adults. Those who whine about us not putting the seat down never think to put it up when they're done, which is, of course, the way we need it when we gotta go. The proper response to a whiner is to tell her "You need it down, put it down yourself. I need it up, so I'll put it up myself. That's the adult solution." Don't be surprised if the whiner whines even louder when you say that, though.

Someday you will be distracted just when you have to have a bowel movement and not check the toilet seat----and it will be up. You will sit and have an instant epiphany.

I have no idea. I think they would be overjoyed that at least they had a dry place to sit when they needed to.

There does come the time when your wife will simply put it down and carry on with her day. That's love. You have to pick your arguments carefully.
