As the late great Jack Webb would say..."Just the facts"?

Besides the obviously retarded Qs like"Did you know religious people have low IQs?"

or "Did you know Atheists eat babies and drink blood?"

I would seriously like to know where some of these "FACTS" come from. No one seems to be able to verify them.

For Non-Believers:

The U.S. went to war because George Bush said God told him to.

There are current laws on the books that were religiously drafted that prohibits you from doing anything.

Creationism is taught in public schools as fact.

There is a Christian conspiracy to take over this nation.

For Believers:

Atheists are bad immoral people.

The theory of evolution is taught as fact in public schools.

Science and technology are tools of the Devil

There is an Atheist conspiracy to take over this nation

I just want to know where this misleading information comes from.

Pease no conspiracy theories or what someone told you in the line in the grocery store and no scripture either just in your face facts please.

Update:

*Sigh*

This has been up a whole hour and only 4 Non-answers

I'm really starting to think 989.9% of the R&S population consists of nothing but trolls and blowhards.

Update 2:

And yet...

Another Q that cannot get a straight answer....

I'll leave this one up to the Y/A community also

They're made up. What's so difficult to understand? Both sides make it up, and for the most part don't even fully believe it themselves...

Leaders of both factions make up the bulk of it, and their followers propogate it. If a christian says they're teaching evolution in schools as fact- actually, they did in my school, and I believe it- it's information christians are passing to one another, not something you can neccessarily site in a particular publication or anything like that.

  • Sigh. I hate this. Here goes. I'm assuming that you are somewhat knowledgeable in some things (and apparently, that's more than I care to assume-or can assume about your whining) and can read and write, but other than you just wanting to "know where this misleading information comes from.", I must -no, I have to- ask you this one question: If you know it's misleading, WHY DO YOU CARE? OK, I lied. Just one more question. What are you NOT thinking now? While you're pondering this question-and you should for your own edification- I'll just slip on out of here and see what's going on in another forum.
