How to find out how many citations were issued in a certain location on a certain day?

I was wondering who I can contact with the city to find out how many traffic citations were issued in a certain location on a certain day and if that information is considered public information?

It is and call the public information office of the police department if they have one, if you are trying to say get a stop sign erected or speed humps put in the local cops should be more than glad to provide the info. At the very least your local city politician can get it.

In most states this kind of information WILL be public information and subject to disclosure upon request. Contact your local police department and ask if they can gather the information for you. It may not be something they normally track, so it might not be quick.

If you need it for court, you can subpoena the info or seek it in discovery.
