Visit the Cenotes...The peninsula is full with caves and underwater rivers. In fact, there are no above-ground rivers on the peninsula at all. In some places, the roof of the cave has collapsed and forms an entrance into the cave system. This is called a cenote. They can be very different in apperance; some are just a hole in the ground, some are like round lagoons in the jungle and some are elaborate caves, partially filled with water. On this tour, you visit three beautiful cenotes, each different and unique in its own way, and then snorkel in the ocean too.
=) Have fun

Well you are going to love Playa del Carmen! All you need to know is to find "5th Ave", this is the main street in all of Playa- tons of shopping, great restaurants/ cafes. The city has a lot of Europeans influence, so check out the "little Italy" section. Also there is a very cute street "Calle Corozon (Heart(Love) Street)" off of 5th Ave. The beach is about a block away too.... so enjoy!!!

There is one awesome place in Playa called El Alux. It is a restaurant and bar that is inside of an actual cave. It can get quite hot and steamy in there but it is a truly unique experience. Ask around for it, I though it was great!
Overall though PDC is expensive and at times a bit pretentious but the carribean is warm and absolutely gorgeous so worth the effort. I tend to stay a bit off the main drag that everyone mentions here as you can find a few nice local bars. La Ranita (attached to the hotel named La Rana Cansada) is one of the better bars with a 15 peso draft and a greater number of locals than most places.
In terms of clubs, the most popular is La Santamera across from Bali (also popular). Worth a visit.

PDC is a great place. Lots of shops restaurants and bars. If you walk down 5th avenue you have lots of choices for all of these. I would suggest may be spending one afternoon there and one evening there. Some of the bars will have live mariachi bands in the evening or theres one that has a Mayan show (or at least used too). If it were me I'd avoid Senior frogs by the ferry dock, there prices are out of hand. Go there only if you want the T-shirt and then buy that at the door and go have a drink on 5th ave at half the price.
See if your resort has a evening trip to a night club. I'm guessing that might but up your alley by your name. Also consider catching the ferry to Cozumel it's about $20 US round trip if you want to dive or snorkel.
The ruins at Tulum are impressive but small, they are worth seeing and you can do that in a morning and be back at your resort for lunch.

Be sure to join in the fun at the N. end of the beach @ Playa where most of the ladies go topless. You too will have a natural Mexican tan . . .
