Are the celebrity pastors, et al, that everyone complains about only found on cable programming?
Is that why a number of folks have no idea who they are because they don't watch them? Personally I've never heard of them before and many Christian acquaintances (including pastors) I have asked out of curiosity don't have a clue either.

I know that where I live, you can get at least one Christian channel without cable.
I also know that with cable, 18-22 is the dead spot where HSN and the Christian channels are.
Nothing requires Christians to know about Benny Hinn or Jack Van Impe or whomever. Honestly, I think the fewer people know about television Christianity, the better it is for Christianity as a whole.

Yeah, but Cahrels Stanley is on network, but Joel Osteen is Cable. But I know enough about them evnethough I dont what them, to be annoyed with them. I can't stand Joel's airy, Southern-accented voice, combined with the way he stops in the middle of his sentaces. AAAAHHHH!!!! I have never watched Charles Stanley, but my mom is crazy for him so you might want to check him out.
