Why has the CIA, an agency once headed by GHW Bush, Suddenly turned cold on President GW Bush?

Todays Evans-Novak Political Report alluded to a sudden turn to coolness towards the administration by the CIA. Are they willing to allow the son of a former Director to take the fall? If so, Why? Has this administration bungled things so badly and aroused the ire of so many people who are asking very pointed questions, that the CIA is willing to feed him to the hounds? Why? Is there something they'd like our attention diverted from by the downfall of a President? Your thoughts Please?

Well, there's two things. First, when it came out that Bush had lied about the fictional WMD, he tried to blame the CIA--and when you get past the smokescreen, they were the only ones that tried to tell him there was no hard evidence.

Second, I suspect a lot of people in the CIA are still seriously PO'd that Bush and his pals deliberately outed a Cia agent (Planes) for political purposes.

More generally, the CIA is in the business of gathering factual information--and Bush and his pals aren't big on facts.

Just because Daddy once headed the CIA it doesn't give the son a pass on all the things that he does as president. It doesn't mean that they are going to look the other way when the president and the vice president make major blunders that can effect how the government works. It's their job to be open and to ask questions, not to be partial to former heads of their agency. Bush and Cheney are walking time bombs and someone has to be aware of what is happening before things explode and our country is put into a position where it can't be fixed. Cheney thinks he is above the law, he has to be taken down to reality and shown that he can't just do what he wants to do. Unfortunately Bush just follows along.

Sometimes I wish I could talk in length about an opinion but you type too much and people wont read it.

Needless to say its been a long time since george the sr was director there.. most of the people in then are gone.

The CIA and FBI have had a rivalry forever. When 9/11 happened there was alot of criticism for the lack of sharing of information and alot of that was directed at the CIA.

I think there might be at least a little something to that.

Bush has meddled too much with all of the government agencies - forcing out knowledgeable staff and putting in cronies and political hacks. The CIA is no exception.

They chafe under mismanagement and are relishing the sight of Congress take a stand toward correcting the problem.

And who, of the human beings who truthfully have the authority to realize this, are "stressful that Cheney be tried for conflict crimes"? are you able to spot one member of the ICJ that has stated as for an indictment of the previous vice-president? Do you even understand what the ICJ is? Heck, i think of OJ did homicide his ex-spouse and her boyfriend, even with the undeniable fact that that would not recommend that there'll could be one extra trial purely on condition that of what i think. the comparable is going for you, > all and sundry who does spectacular study will inform you that information superhighway sites are not actual documentation. I asked you to call one (purely one) member of the ICJ this is even thinking issuing an indictment to Dick Cheney and likewise you submit a information superhighway internet site that's no longer from the ICJ. wager what, the three morons from "loose substitute" have a information superhighway internet site. Is that information? Of path no longer. there is extra evidence that Bigfoot exists. How approximately you could have some refresher on the thank you to do precise learn and verify out the ICJ. Then come again with what you could have. >BTW. I did hassle to do a touch diagnosis for in this count. The ICJ supplies with worldwide agreements, no longer conflict crimes. even with the undeniable fact that, the international criminal courtroom does prosecute conflict crimes and crimes in direction of humanity; they have issued warrants to the president of Sudan no longer too some time past. The ICC has offered hundreds of thousands of lawsuits related to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, yet has no longer placed any beginning place for issuing any warrants, lots much less indictments.

I believe Cheney's bully tactics toward the CIA pissed them off. Five deferment Cheney was going to get his war with Iraq at all costs.

My guess is because they've figured out like most Bush supporters that "W" is a nitwit who really does care about his corporate cronies.

If he cared anything about America, he'd close that damn mexican border and stop trying to turn North America into a free trade zone!

I wish he'd resign or be impeached. I'm totally sick of him and I voted for him!

Respect & loyalty is not hereditory. If the Presidents people outed one of my covert agents, I would be pi9ssed, too. I would also be pissed if he used me to blame me for his mistakes.

In short, Father & Son are 2 entirely different people. for one thing Bush Sr. listened. Jr. didn't.

because w allowed cheney to build his own intelligence unit in the DOD. He manipulated their input and then claimed faulty intel which made everyone think CIA, not DOD and NSA.
