Are Bush supporters misinformed, uninformed or just outright lying?

They keep saying that President Clinton is worse than president bush because he fired all US attorneys when he first entered the white house and Bush only fired 8.

Bush also fired all US attorneys when he first entered the white house, then fired those that he brought in that were doing their jobs ethically.

Is that the problem the Bush supporters have, that the US attorneys were doing their jobs ethically?

Everybody knows that having ethics is so unrepublican.

I believe they are misinformed and they are so stubborn they refuse to see the truth - if it hit them directly in the eye! As for ethics, republicans do not have ethics, but they do have a LOT of money, and money talks - it fact it screams! I don't really care about the prosecutors who were fired. The problem with doing what the administration did was unethical and it was tainted with one lie after another. We MUST demand responsibility and accountability when scandals such as this happens. It doesn't mean that I am liberal - in fact, I am less liberal than ever before. Politics is what sucks. In Criminal Justice, we are to have objective not subjective police, court actors and corrections officials. If the republicans are unethical then they have broken the law. If they break the law then they must go to court and explain it to a judge and jury of their peers. It seems that no one in the republican administration wants the aides to be under oath and tell what they know to the American people. Why are the American people left out of this equation? The people put them in office and now we demand to know the truth.

The US Prosecuting Attorneys are almost 100% replaced each time a new president comes into office especially if there is a change in party! They serve a term of 4 years along with the president. They serve at his pleasure. So yes they are miss informed or they are just continuing the spin that they have heard. Missinformation is something that this administration is very good at. They do not seem to know how to tell the truth though, that is why they are fighting to keep from testifying under oath.

The president can choose who his attorneys are and dismiss them at any time, without giving any reason. That is what the law says. The reason why Bill Clinton's situation is being brought is because, many who are attacking Bush now for doing this loved Clinton. So I find it hard to believe that you can love one person and hate another when both used the same executive powers? And Clinton isn't the only one, presidents have been doing this for a long time. If the law says they can hire and fire at will, then that is what it says, and anyone that exercises that power should not be scrutinized because some people don't like the person exercising that power.

First off, placing "ethical" and "attorney's" in the same sentence is already misleading. These attorneys were NOT doing the jobs they were hired to do. Which can be proven by looking at their track records, and if you do not believe that, than ask Finestein - she complained about the SF US Attorney in writing on more than one occasion - so if you are so blinded by your dislike of Bush - at least take the word of one of your kind on the left...

Clinton fired the attorneys when he went into office, which is the normal thing to do. A new President usually replaces these positions. The problem with Bush's actions is that he waits midway through his 2nd term and fires them. These attorneys just were not doing his "bidding" and their heads rolled.

Whoa, bucky, do you have any proof, evidence or facts to support your allegation that they were fired for "doing their jobs ethically"? Or are you buying the argument of bitter fired attorneys who were called out for poor job performance, or acting contrary to the guidelines of the administration they were serving under?

Other than baseless accusations, there is nothing that supports any of the specious charges levelled by the left regarding the firings.

Let me tell you about ethics. Ethics is NOT levelling charges against people without any proof or evidence, like YOU are doing.

Well I really think that it is all three!

They are misinformed, uninformed, and just outright lying!

Look at it this way - It is a well known fact that Clinton did fire 93 Prosecutors when he got into Office - BUT THEY CONSISTED OF REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRAT PROSECUTORS AS WELL!

The Bush Administration fired 8 Prosecutors - WHO WERE ALL DEMOCRATS!

I ask you - Just who was playing Politics here?

    Clinton or the Bush Administration?

    duh!

The Answer is rather obvious don't you think?

    Source(s): a realist!

Bush supporters are informed and tell the truth. It's the truth that you Billybob worshippers can't handle so you make up lies to fit the occasion. Name your source for your rediculous accusations about President Bush, other than your imagination.

PS What part of At-Will Employees has escaped your ken???? Republicans are a whole lot more ethical than Democrats Monica.

Yep, it is any Presidents right to fire them. Generally done at the beginning of their term. He put those attorney's there and when they start questioning his administration, they are suddenly fired. Is this administration that dense that by firing them, they are going to keep quiet?

I think its unfair to try and paint ONE party as the ethical one. Both parties are full of politician.

    Politicians Lie.

When are you libs gonna get it. MANY conservatives are fed up with republicans AND democrats. When are YOU guys gonna see the liars on your side?
