does anybody have heartache with the fact that steve nash...?

could get a third MVP...and would somehow be compared to Bill Russell, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Tim , Shaq and MJ...when he will never even come close to achieving the success that these greats have?

Update:

with his back and his teams makeup he will have 4 to 5 more good years...and he will be lucky to have played in two finals much less than to have rings...phoenix will have to get some interior toughness to advance...

Update 2:

yes I watch closely when he is out, and they play terrible...no spacing and average 22 seconds on shot clock to get a shot off vs. about 9-11 when he runs the offense...I understand very well how the game is played...both in theory and when parts are interchanged...I used to hang out with a GM and scout for the lakers...

I personally think it's a travesty that 3 MVPs could go to someone who never even brought a team to the finals. It makes the award seem cheap to me.

no not at all. no heartache whatsoever. nash is playing well. near 20 and 10....those stats arent easy to attain especially when ur a pg.

of the 3 years he has been nominated, which year does he deserve it more...the time he led the team to a turnaround year and into the playoffs, the year he kept the team on pace without amare, or now when his numbers have improved and the suns are the second best team in the L.

i know a lot of people hate him. but to sum it up....he has been there 3 years and each year they have won pacific champs. amare and marion teamed with marbury and that turned out bad. so u cant say those players make him. he has helped elevate their games. no one can deny it.

nash probably wont win the award, i dont think ppl want him too. but i do think he will be 2nd if not 3rd in votes. if the mavs strugle and the suns keep winning...can they really deny him the award?

He's today's John Stockton, up against players who cannot compare with the competition Stockton played against in his day, nor competed against for MVP honors.

Although Dirk is a fantastic offensive threat, he is called "Irk," because he has no "D."

Lebron is a great player, but he does not make the players around him better players like Nash does.

Koby is a great player, but does very little for his teammates.

There is difference between best athelete, best player, and Most Valuable Player.

Thus, I believe it possible that Steve Nash shall win his third MVP Award, and I believe he deserves it.

YES. i mean yea steve nash is a great player no doubt. and he deserved the 1st MVP for wat he has done with the suns. but 3 in a row?!?? thats just ridiculous. its not like he alone can take a team 2 the finals or nething. he has 2 straight MVP titles under his belt i think thats enuf 4 the rest of his career. from now on he should just b an all-star at best. o and about those greats mentioned above they had the ability to dominate every single player steve nash cant do that, hes just 1 of the best passers. enough said

The only part of dano's rant that made even the slightest bit of sense was bringing Dirk's performance this season into the discussion.

As far as I'm concerned, Dirk and Nash are the ONLY two candidates for this year's MVP award. May the better man win, and if it's Nash, so be it.

No heartache here as he's the best passer in NBA now like Magic Johnson.

With Amare back, there is always a big possibility that Suns will win Nba finals.

HE SHOULDN'T HAVE WON THE FIRST TWO IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!!!

KOBE SHOULD'VE WON IT LAST YEAR AND LEBRON SHOULD'VE WON IT THE YEAR BEFORE

NASH MAKES THE PEOPLE AROUN HIM BETTER, YA YA, BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN HE'S THE BEST PLAYER IF HE ONLY SCORE 6 POINTS A NIGHT. LEBRON CAN MAKE HIS TEAMMATES BETTER WHILE SCORING 28 A NIGHT, ALTHOUGH I DON'T THINK HE SHOULD WIN IT THIS YEAR CAUSE HE'S NOT BEING AS AGGRESSIVE, IN MY OPINION HE SHOULD HAVE A BETTER CHANCE BECAUSE OF THE MORE THINGS HE CAN DO. DIRK SHOULD WIN IT THIS YEAR, I MEAN THE GUYS 7 FOOT AND SHOOTING 3'S FOR HEAVENS SAKE, HE'S AVERAGING MOR AND DOESN'T HAVE TO WORRY BOUT HIS TEAMMATES CAUSE HE'S GOT SOME GREAT PLAYERS AROUND HIM. THE GUY IS A MONSTER. NOT NASH. SUNS FANS SHOULD FACE IT, KOBE AND LEBRON GOT SCREWED, AND IF NASH WINS IT THIS YEAR, DIRK WILL HAVE BEEN SCREWED.

You think Shaq is better than Nash? Shaq is a big fat guy who sits under the basket and dunks...that's it. Nash is on his way to becoming a great like most of the ones you listed. Wait until the end of his career before you compare him to people who have long finished theirs.

Dirk deserves it this year! Without a doubt!!

  • 1 decade ago

he doesnt deserve it kobe is the one who's deserved it for the past several years now but is always over looked simply because he's a one man team. stupid fukers!!
