Eczema...?
I have eczema and I cant stop scratching. The itch is uncontrollable. Is there something I can do about it. Such measures like hypnosis or something drastic like that. I take and use everything to stop my eczema but nothing works.

Some eczema's are a symptom of a leaky gut, which is why certain foods can trigger a break out.
Also most commercial detergents, shampoos and soaps etc exacerbate the problem.
Try using ecover or natural alternatives for the above products.
We have used probiotics for eczema, with superb results.
Start with one a day, then after 2 weeks if no major improvement up the dosage to 2-3. Once you have the skin back to normal, take a maintenance dosage of one tablet a day
The best probiotic we found was primadophilus reuteri or bifidus.
Try and go as organic as possible in what you eat and use on you skin, and always wash new clothing, that has been our recent culprit.
Good luck!

Have you tried Melaleuca products? I know people who have had terrible eczema and tried Melaleuca's soaps and lotion and other hair and body products and were amazed at how they improved. A lot of them to the point that they have no outbreaks at all. The main product used is their lotion called Renew. It actually helps your skin heal itself. Here is some information on a study they preformed...

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Here is a cream that really worked on my daughter's eczema.
X10: New Skin Snake Fat Ointment
(xin fu she zhi ruan gao)
The webpage for the product and the company, tcmtreatment (a Chinese company that exports world wide) is
My daughter has increasngly worsening eczema for almost a year. We had tried almost everything-steroid creams, ant-itch creams, herbals remedies, different soaps, Cetraphil. she still had flame- red patches on the inside of her knees and arms, and eventually on her face. She itched all the time! The lastest development was huge pimples on the inside of her arms. My daughter does TV and Movie work sometimes, and I was wondering if the eczema was goiing to end her career (at age 14). I got this stuff,(I just picked it out on the webpage because it was the cheapest of the eczema products.) Within 30 minutes of her application to the inside of her arms, the redness had lessened along with the itching. Within two days the skin looked almost normal. She uses it almost three times a day. It has been three weeks and all that is left is shadows of the pimples. I've done some reading that makes me think that her problem is Candida. Maybe this cream is a really effective Candida fighter. Oh-the cream stang a bit the first couple of times she used it. Now it doesn't.
I hope this is useful! I've been dying to tell someone about this stuff-I really had almost given up,since what is printed about eczema on the internet is SOOOOO discouraging! I posted a question on Yahoo answers asking whether I could mention the "Snake cream" and the webpage-which you need if you want to use the information I gave you. No one answered, so I am posting. Good luck!

Dryness is actually the result of decreased water in the top layer of the skin. You'll want to get a water based lotion or moisturizer (does not contain mineral oil). These will penetrate the dermis and deeply condition and hydrate your skin with the proper ingredients for your skin condition rather then just sit on the top layer.
Eczema is usually associated with extremely dry skin. It often forms large infected patches on the fronts of elbows and the backs of knees. These patches can get extremely itchy, which if scratched could make the infected area worse. It seems to run in families In certain cases it can be the result of an allergic reaction occurring on the skin. The cause is not known but aggravating factors include hands that are in frequent contact with soap and water, harsh household products and vegetable juices, such as potato and onion juices. If a physician does not specify a particular regimen, Arbonne has product recommendations that might help alleviate some of the discomfort.
The products are formulated without chemicals, dyes, fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol, wax, acetone, etc. They are botanically-based and pH correct, dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, and non-irritating. They are formulated with natural botanical ingredients. People with skin conditions have tried these products and experienced amazing results.
Intelligence Cleansing Gel for the hands and body, in the bath or shower
Intelligence Skin Condition Oil once the skin has been towel dried but left a little damp
Intelligence Hand Cream or Body Lotion following the Skin Conditioning Oil or Rejuvenating Cream on extremely irritated areas to help alleviate the discomfort of itching.
I hope this helps. If you would like to consult your physician, I have literature on all of Arbonne products. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help.

i feel for you cos i suffer the same! The reason it is itching is because its dry.. and the more you itch it, the more you damage the skin and the more it dries out when it tries to heal. The best thing i've found is to keep the skin as moisturised as possible.. but you have to be careful as many skin moisturisers have ingredients that irritate your eczema, even the ones that claim they're good for it! A good one that i use which has really helped a lot is Palmers Cocoa Butter.. It comes in a bottle with a long neck. You can buy it in Boots, Superdrug or chemists and its pretty cheap.. good luck.. the itching can drive you mad eh!

Your doctor should be able to give you a good cream. Also make sure whatever cream your using doesnt have lanalin in it as that makes it worse but is in allot of dry skin creams. Also eczema is usually made worse with stress. So try not to get too stressed. Good Luck Ive got it too and it can be really annoying.

Skin conditions are related to issues in the liver. It is usually a way the body tells us to stop eating something the liver does not like to process.
Suggest you visit a nutritionist to review your current dietary choices and see if you are having an allergic reaction to a food by either having too much of it, or just enough to trigger a re-action.
Yes, it is something which can be changed swiftly by removing the food from your diet. Wet eczema in ear canals was related to dairy foods... and no one but me could figure it out. Cut out the dairy and in about 2-3 days, the eczema disappeared - after suffering with it for over 8 years.
Be a diet detective and you'll figure it out.
In the mean time, seek out what are called "nervines". Naturally occurring substances which calm nerves - calcium supplements, vitamin B's, some homeopathic cell salts are all possible assists to mellow out the itching.
