Whatever happened to Dana Sterling and Bowie Grant after the Robotech Masters leave Earth? Did the Invid kill them, or did they go out to the SDf-3?

Actually it doesn't really state what happened to them in the anime which is what I have. I think though that they went to the Moon Base.
Because in the Shadow Chronicles movie out on DVD Louie Nichols they're friend is on board the ship, that goes out to search for Rick Hunter and the SDF-3, with Scott and Ariel. On board is a new Sterling girl who claims her family was on the SDF-3.
So I think Dana might have gone to the SDF-3 but I do not know about Bowie Grant. I think he might be on Moon Base with Musica if he is still alive.
