Schuab worth 48 million?

He would be worth it if he was going to a title contender, but going to the Texans, with that O line. He has the skill to be a great QB, but the reality of football is that a QB is only as good as the protection he gets from his line.

But I don't think he's worth the 48 million and the 3 draft picks we gave up to get him. From what I hear on Atlanta's blogs and even some outside sources, this was a great deal for the Texans. I'm still not convinced. Actually, we should have given him 24 million, and he still would have jumped all over it. It still beats his deal with the Falcons by a good amount.

Releasing Dominick, as much as I love the guy, was a good plan. He hasn't made very much progress in his rehab, and I don't think he'll even make it this season either.

Releasing Moulds was a mistake. They got rid of probably Andre's most influential teachers thus far in the NFL. They were buddies, and I think Moulds still had some things to teach Andre. Also, we didn't give him enough time.

No, he's not worth 48 million and NO, he won't be able to turn the Texans around. You can bank on that! On the other hand, he will have the same, if not worse numbers than David Carr. Does management really think it was Carr's fault for the Texans problems? If they had actually addressed the biggest problem which was the offensive line, they'd actually have a better record. Like the Reggie Bush blunder, I think they screwed up again. No QB will survive behind that horrid O-line, not even the great Matt Schaub. Unless mgmt decides to bring in some talent at the O-line, nothing else they do will matter.

he can turn the texans around if the texans get a real Offensive Line. like you said he has 6 tds and 6 ints and a qb rating in the mid 50s. and you pay 48 mill for that? im not so sure he is any better than carr. carr is a good QB if he had a good line.

No, this deal is crazy. This guy is a unproven qb, but with Houston's o-line, Peyton Manning would struggle. The only thing Houston can go by is, his college play, and preseason play. Houston can kill his career.

It would help to have Moulds, but losing Williams will hurt this team, even though he usually was injured, why bring in another injury-prone rb, when Williams has potentially good years left.

Schaub can truthfully command a second round %. in this years draft, so the Falcons understand that in a worst case state of affairs, they'll get a second rounder in next years draft because on the on the spot, someone could could go. also, Vick has a propensity to get harm. that's a sensible theory to have a guy like Schaub round in case some thing takes position.

look at the philadelphia eagles, they had an amazing o-line last year. ncnabb got hurt and garcia jumped in and the offense still put up points
