Is faith determined by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

Does it matter that this reduces morality to individual piety?

Update:

OOPS. I MEANT MORALITY, NOT FAITH.

Ya know, people have been promising me a personal relationship with him for years. I have yet to hear him respond to my offer to at least date once. Maybe he's just a lot faster than me.

Seriously, no. I'm one of them "Faith" people, but I have no faith in Jesus. Give me a wild orgy over guilt, any day.

Faith simply means to believe in something. You can have faith that God exists and still not have a relationship with Him. Having faith in God and building a relationship with Him does not reduce morality...quite the opposite is true

No, faith is based on belief in something without or despite evidence, regardless of what that may be.

You've forgotten that there are two thousand other deities that humans have had devout "faith" in over thousands of years.

Christianity makes up only a small portion of world religions.

My faith is not determined by a relationship with Jesus Christ.

I'm just sort of baffled over how you can have a personal relationship with someone who's invisible. If it works for you, great, but I don't get it.

I think the philosopher Michael never adequately explained his exhortation that you gotta have faith, you gotta have faith, you gotta have faith, you gotta have faith a faith a faith.

Yes it does. Without a relationship with our mediator how are we suppose to get to our creator. He is perfect we are not. He can be around only perfections. Thru Jesus we are perfect. Yet, remember that "faith without works is useless". Jesus was dispised for his actions, yet they were perfect. We should strive to be just like him. Once you have that relationship you wont be able to help it!

I'm not totally sure what you are asking, but when you have faith it proves you love Jesus Christ.

When you become a Christian, all Jesus does is test you to see if you can prove that you love him.

I'm not sure if it helps. But go to the church website, I go to a church called FaithPointe.

    Its a nondenominational church.
