Tell them what you believe, then show them the behavior of Christians on Y Answers.

Teach them logic and critical thinking.

    Teach them to question authority.

Teach them about all the world's religions.

Let them make up their own minds. If they take on a religion, keep loving and respecting them. If not, rejoice!

Your job is to guide them and give them your support in everything they do, not choose who they become. I'll teach my children the basics of all major religions, if they choose to follow one of them, I'll give them all my support. My advice is for you to do the same. My only hope is that if they do choose to practice a faith, through my example of love and tolerance they do so in a respectful way.

a great form of human beings do persist with what their hearts tell them. i grow to be born right into a Christian family contributors, yet for a at the same time as i presumed in Wicca. Now i'm lower back to being Christian and that i'm particular that i would be for something of my existence, yet it particularly is my determination by using fact i think in Christianity, no longer by using fact my family contributors is Christian. no longer easily everyone believes in having wars in "God's call". i'm particular God would not relish us killing human beings and then asserting, "properly, there you circulate, God, I killed him for you." He can, little doubt, preserve that himself. no you will help what their ancestors did interior the Crusades the place easily everyone grow to be battling over the Holy Land, or something like that. Even now, some religions are slightly hateful in direction of others or choose to exclude particular human beings from their faith, yet we have no administration over what different human beings do. besides, i think of maximum folk have self belief what they choose to besides, in spite of what their family contributors says approximately it.

Tell them to question, ask them to inform themselves and then choose. Do NOT try to indoctrinate them against religion - it will backfire. Simply be candid about your own beliefs and point out that you are a good and worthy person, just as are many who do not share your beliefs.

Wow! Pretty sad that I got a thumbs-down for THAT.

just raise them neutrally and make sure some kids don't try to brainwash them at school.

If you give children a free chance, they at least become skeptical of religion, making them less prone to blind faith (although no one is immune).

Make sure they have a real education and that they are aware of some of the more obvious tricks that religions use to dupe converts.

Teach them about all (or most) or the religions in the world.

Simply encourage them to listen to their sceptical side.

Show them the value of knowledge over ignorance.

Teach them to not be afraid of the unknown.

That should take care of it.

Let them explore. Discuss their ideas with respect. They get to make up their own minds too, no matter what you want.
